3-Day Prehistory Adventure: Building Resilience & Independence

3 Day 2 Night Prehistory School Residential Trip

The Ultimate Overnight Quest:

Sleep in a Roundhouse!

Elevate your class residential with a 3-day, 2-night journey that prioritises confidence, independence, and team building. Beyond a history lesson, this trip is a challenge designed to help pupils step out of their comfort zones by spending two nights in our unique, reconstructed Iron Age settlement.

An Immersive Journey of Personal Growth

Over three days, students transition through the ages, developing “soft skills” that last a lifetime:

  • Day 1: Stone Age Self-Reliance.
Pupils build resilience by mastering primitive survival skills, from flint knapping demonstrations to collaborative den building in our ancient woodland.

  • Day 2: Iron Age Collaborative Farming.
Students work as a “clan” to learn the art of fire-lighting and traditional farming, fostering leadership and group problem-solving.

  • Day 3: Warrior Confidence.
The adventure culminates in “Warrior Day,” where pupils tackle clan challenges that improve social courage and peer-to-peer support.

The Celtic Harmony Prehistory residential trip promoted independence, teamwork, communication and organisation skills gained by simply staying away from home. The excellent leaders, great information, good food and sleeping arrangements combined to create a fantastic experience.
