As we look back on 2025, we are incredibly proud of everything we have achieved together. This year, over 17,000 schoolchildren and adult helpers stepped back in time to explore Prehistory with us.
We would like to thank every school that visited us this year, it was a pleasure to host you, and we look forward to welcoming you all back to the Camp in the near future!
“A very interactive experience and the children gained a lot of new knowledge. Many links were made to prior learning and the activities were very hands-on; a brilliant day!” — Miss Raja, Beechwood, February 2025.

Opening Our Gates to the Public
This has been a milestone year, as we opened Celtic Harmony Camp and The Woodland Bistro to the public during weekends and school holidays for the very first time.
In addition to this, we launched Brickendon Disc Golf in April 2025. We also hosted a vibrant programme of events throughout the year, including our Spring Celebration, Easter Dragon Quest, May Half-Term Adventures, and ‘Rewild Your Summer’. As the seasons turned, we welcomed guests for our Samhain Celebration, Festive Elf Quest, and Festive Family Days.
Beyond our main events, we held a series of primitive skills and wreath-making workshops, alongside four enchanting storytelling evenings performed by our talented guest speakers.

We were delighted to welcome over 2,210 visitors to these special events. Thank you for your incredible support!
“There were plenty of opportunities for our two little warrior queens to enjoy nature, with den building, exploring and investigating the roundhouse.”
— Laura, February
“I loved the Samhain Celebration! From the face paint and drumming to the fascinating cave talk and captivating storytelling, every activity was brilliant!”
— Sophie, October
Heritage and Collaboration
We were honoured to collaborate with the St Albans Museums Service this year. A series of precious prehistoric artefacts were loaned to us by the Verulamium Museum. We invite you to visit our Prehistory Centre to see these historic objects for yourself.

The Power of Volunteering
Our heritage is preserved thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteers. This year, more than 830 volunteer hours were dedicated to the Camp.
From traditional fencing and woodland management to planting over 200 trees to renew our hedgerows and create new wildlife habitats, our volunteers have made a lasting impact. A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time to make our site—and the world—a better place!

Awarded a VisitEngland ‘Hidden Gem’ Accolade
Finally, we are thrilled to announce that Celtic Harmony Camp has received the prestigious VisitEngland ‘Hidden Gem’ Accolade. This honour follows a rigorous quality assurance assessment this summer.
As the largest reconstructed Iron Age village in the UK, we remain committed to delivering immersive educational experiences. We warmly encourage you to visit us in 2026 and discover this award-winning ‘Hidden Gem’ for yourselves.
