Part-Time Prehistory Performers

Are you an enthusiastic and engaging performer?  Are you looking for part-time work that could fit around auditions or performance projects?

Celtic Harmony is an award-winning charity, providing hands-on cultural heritage education of ancient Britain since 1998 to increase understanding of the natural world and create a more sustainable way of life for future generations.

We are a small dynamic team, who specialise in the creation and delivery of Prehistory experiences in a reconstructed Iron Age settlement. Celtic Harmony has been awarded the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge for high quality outdoor experiences.

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic and flexible performers to deliver fun and engaging Prehistory workshops such as Stone Age Hunter-Gatherers, Bronze Age Potters and Iron Age Celtic Warriors, dressed in costume. Prehistory Performers will set the scene in character and introduce activities such as storytelling, pottery, den building & hunting practice and for school and family day and evening experiences. In-house training provided including scripts, lesson plans and primitive skills.

The ideal candidate will:
  • have a minimum of 2 years experience in performing arts and working with children.
  • have a passion for performing arts.
  • be interested in learning more about ancient heritage of Britain
  • be a good team player.
  • own car / willing travel by train due to the rural location of the site.

This is a flexible position that could accommodate auditions and other performance work.

Celtic Harmony Camp is located in Brickendon, Hertfordshire, SG13 8NY, just north of London. Bayford station (15 minutes walk from Celtic Harmony Camp) is on the Moorgate Line.

All of our Prehistory Performers require an Enhanced DBS certificate, that we can arrange on your behalf if you do not have one.
