Go Tribal Transition

Go Tribal:
The Ultimate Year 6 Transition Residential

3 Day 2 Night Residential School Trip

This residential is ideal for children towards the end of KS2, helping to solidify friendships with team building exercises and experiences. Transition from primary to secondary education is an important time for pupils as they prepare to enter a new environment. This is made easier if they feel confident and have the skills to cope with new situations.

With this in mind, we developed the 3 day 2 night Go Tribal  trip under the Learning Away ‘Brilliant Residential’ pledge designed to inspire and develop confidence at the start of the year.

Building Resilience in the Wild

This bushcraft residential builds resilience and independence as students master woodland skills and collaborative problem-solving. By overcoming primitive challenges together, pupils develop the social confidence and leadership needed to navigate new environments.

  • Heated Roundhouse Living: Five 6m diameter roundhouses provide a unique sleepover experience with modern radiator heating, electricity, and insulated walls.

  • Comfort for All: Students sleep on soft gym mats, while teachers enjoy dedicated guest beds—simply bring a sleeping bag and pillow.

  • Team-Building Focus: The programme turns classes into “clans,” strengthening social bonds through hands-on adventure and shared achievement.
