Making a Difference

We work with disadvantaged schools to bring children on Prehistory Explorer residential experiences at Celtic Harmony that will enable them to build resilience, gain confidence and developing an appreciation for the natural world through hands-on Prehistory activities. Thanks to the kind support of our supporting trusts and grant funding organisations, we were able to host over 170 children for funded residentials in 2019!

Feedback from Funded Schools in 2019

“Great teams. Excellent education officer. Very good to have the same education officer for all activities, who got to know the children’s names and ways quickly accommodating SEND children” Teacher, 5th June 2019

“For several of mine this really helped their resilience. It encouraged their world and created some real bonding” Teacher, 27th April 2019

“When I came here, I thought I’d be bad at all of it. But now I feel confident” Child, 27th June 2019

“I think the team building activities were excellent as they supported the children developing team work and leadership skills. Also the many hands on experiences that they were exposed to, taught them lots of independence. The experience of sleeping in a roundhouse.” Teacher, 20th May 2019
