Let the games begin with a great day out for friends or family to gather this summer, to celebrate Lugnasa, the Celtic fire festival. Enjoy a day packed with activities and feats to test your aim and accuracy, coordination and balance:

• Explore the woodland on the Boudicca Quest and make your own torc necklace and Lugnasa torch 
• Test your coordination and balance with games from the feat of “salmon’s leap” to dragon egg & spoon race on The Grass Arena. 
• Take part in Disc Golf,  strength and accuracy challenge.
• Learn the ancient skill of archery shooting at 3D life size targets. 
• Test your aim on our new axe throwing range. 
• Listen to tales of heroes and warriors around the fire in the Chieftain Roundhouse before the fire procession.

Good to know…

• The Woodland Bistro is open all day, offering fresh bites and lovely drinks for all visitors. It’s the perfect spot to relax and recharge before or after your event! Treat yourself to our freshly made pizzas, sweet potato chips, delicious cakes, and a variety of snacks, paired perfectly with a brewed coffee, hot drink, or a refreshing beer. Make a day of it and enjoy a happy, relaxed meal in the heart of the beautiful woodland.
• You can also explore The Prehistory Centre and the Palaeolithic Cave.
• The day starts from 10am, we recommend you arrive early (by 11:00 am at the latest) to follow the quest and crafts in the morning before the grass Arena opens in the afternoon for the games to begin!
• We are unable to permit dogs at this event.

There is no picnicking as Celtic Harmony Camp, Bourne Wood as it is a conservation area.
