Celtic Harmony Camp shortlisted for VisitEngland Award

Celtic Harmony Camp has been recognised as a Quality Assured Attraction by VisitEngland for achieving high levels of excellence across a range of areas in a recent assessment. The levels achieved are so impressive that the Hertford attraction has now been shortlisted for the ‘Hidden Gem’ award by VisitEngland.

With its seven thatched roundhouses and native woodland, Celtic Harmony Camp is the largest replica Iron Age village in England. Children and visitors can rediscover the natural world and traditions of life in ancient Britain through creative hands-on activities that engage the imagination and improve wellbeing.

The attraction hosts educational trips during the school terms and then opens its doors to a range of activities and events during the weekends and school holidays including storytelling, archery, pottery, ancient crafts and workshops. Every weekend the site’s Woodland Bistro is open for a range of delicious hot food, cakes, treats and drinks.

The VisitEngland assessment took place in mid August at one of the ‘Rewild your Summer’ family events and their team of assessors evaluated every aspect of the experience from arrival to catering, activities to staff, retail to toilet facilities. The site achieved a highly commended overall score of 89% for its first ever assessment.

Luca Parrella, Heritage Director at Celtic Harmony Camp said

‘We are immensely proud and honoured to achieve this recognition and it’s testament to the hard work and passion of our team to provide unforgettable and special experiences in a magical, unique setting. We are excited to be shortlisted for the VisitEngland ‘Hidden Gem’ award and have very high hopes to achieve this accolade.’
