Family Prehistory Adventure

Enjoy a magical family adventure of 3 days and 2 nights

Sleep in a traditional roundhouse with all the comforts of  king size bed, single guest beds and family washrooms nearby to freshen up before dinner and evening entertainment, in the beautiful woodland setting of Celtic Harmony Camp.

This family break is available from Tuesday to Thursday or Friday to Sunday 21 July to 6 August 2023 and is fully catered with various choices of food catering for all dietary requirements. The cafe is open during your stay if you need any additional cold or hot drinks, snacks or ice creams.  Each roundhouse sleeps up to 2 adults and 3 children, bedding and towels are included.

Families/groups can compete in workshops to collect Prehistory tokens and participate in the award ceremony at the end of your stay. Activities are designed for the whole family to take part together, parents remain responsible for children (4 years plus). The programme below includes time where you can simply relax around the fire, in the woods or in the game area with your family and friends.

Typical Activity Programme

Day 1 Morning

• Arrival at 11am welcome drinks and accommodation

Afternoon

• Intro to Den building
• Flint Tools Hunting and gathering talk / workshop
• Orienteering
• Collecting Firewood

Evening

• 6pm Dinner, desserts and coffee
• Roasting Marshmallows
• Drumming workshop
• Live Music

Day 2    Morning

• 8am Continental Breakfast including  fresh fruits, hot drinks, yoghurt, croissant, juices, cereals
• Friction Fire Lighting
• Cooking lunch Outdoors
• Additional buffet lunch to compliment what you have already cooked and coffee

Afternoon

• Target Archery
• Camo Games
• Mini Raft Making

Evening

• 6pm Curry Dinner, desserts and coffee
• Pottery
• Storytelling
• Bat Walk

Day 3    Morning

• 8am Continental Breakfast including  fresh fruits, hot drinks, yoghurt, croissant, juices, cereals
• Den building competition end Zero Footprint talk
• Warrior Headbands and Face Painting
• 3D Target Archery

Afternoon

• Buffet lunch and coffee
• Warrior Demonstration
• Award ceremony

We use an Ozone sanitiser for deep cleaning of each roundhouse between guest stays.
