The Celts loved a good party! Celtic Chieftains held great feasts for their followers, and often they would give out presents: fine weapons and jewellery to the bravest warriors! The celts ate beef stew cooked in cauldrons and hog roast and washed it all down with beer brewed from barley or mead made from honey flavoured with herbs and flowers. They drank from animal horns from aurochs, wild cattle which are now extinct, could hold five or six litres!
